The 2012 Fullerton Rugby Junior Rugby Sevens, now in it's 10th year, is the oldest Junior Rugby Tournament in California. The tournament is geared toward young players, with divisions in Under 8, Under 10, and U12. All teams are co-ed.

7-a-side, with a maximum roster of 18 players per team.
Enter any amount of teams from your club in each division.
A player cannot play in two different divisions (due to scheduling and multiple fields).
Players can only play for one team.

INDIVIDUAL MEDALS FOR ALL FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD PLACED TEAMS IN EACH DIVISION.

WE DO NOT ASK YOU TO BRING YOUR OWN REFEREES AS WE PAY OUR CERTIFIED REFEREES FROM THE REGISTRATION FEE THAT YOU PAY.

Cost: $125 for the first team. $200 for 2 teams. $250 for 3 teams. $300 for 4 teams. $350 for 5 teams. $375 for 6 teams. $400 for 7 teams or more.

TOURNAMENT RULES

· Only 2 substitutions allowed per team in each half. Any number of players can be substituted each time.

· Rosters will consist of a minimum of 7 players and a maximum of 18 players. 15's rules will apply, which means that after a try is scored, the team that scored the try receives the kick-off.

· No switching players from one team to another, and a player can only play for one division.

· 2 player lineouts. All lineouts are contested, and lifting is NOT permitted.

· 3 player scrums. U12 contested. U10 and U8 uncontested. Scrumhalf cannot pass the center line of scrum until ball comes out.

· U8 – 2 second tag applies (one one hundred two one hundred) and the ball needs to be passed or kept on the ground, at which time the opposing team gets back 5 meters. One coach will be allowed to be on the field BEHIND THE LAST PLAYER OF HIS TEAM. THE COACH MAY NOT BE IN FRONT OF ANY PLAYERS ON HIS TEAM AND SHALL NOT OBSTRUCT ANY PLAYER ON THE FIELD.

· No penalty or tap shall be taken within 5 meters of the try line.

· If a team is not on the field 2 minutes after scheduled kick-off time, the match will be forfeited.

· For the U8 division, turnover is at 5 tags. No kicking is permitted, except at the start of the game and after a try is scored.

· A tag is both hands at the same time on the opposing player’s body for at least one second.

· Dangerous play will not be tolerated. A yellow card means that a player is out of the match for 10 minutes, and red card means that the player is out of the tournament and shall not play for the rest of the day.

· Proof of age can be challenged at any time by the opposing coach or manager only. It is each coach’s responsibility to prove their players proof of age.
